Collectible blue transferware Lamberton Scammell Moravian historical plates featuring the First Water Works building and an elevated view of the town of Bethlehem, PA, as they would have appeared in 1746. Each central image is encircled by floral motifs, a motto in Latin, and four portraits - the names featuring on the reverse of each plate. Sold as a pair.
Dimensions: 10.5ʺW × 1ʺD × 10.5ʺH
Condition: Some firing imperfections (bubbles) on the First Water Works plate and some dragging of the print. One plate less glossy sheen. Plate hangers attached.
