From an estate in Chicago, this incredible richly glazed 19th century English Majolica Basketweave Dessert Service by Wittman & Roth, London, comprises 10 dessert plates, and 3 pedestal cake stands.

Featuring the classic tactile basketweave molded pattern, each piece is finished with finely pierced rims and glazed in vibrant golden yellow with deep green accents—an iconic Victorian majolica palette, which beautifully highlights the texture and dimensionality of the design. Each piece is impressed W&R/L to the underside.

A striking addition for majolica collectors or a dramatic accent for traditional or eclectic interiors!

The diameter of the dessert plate is 8.25”, two shorter cake stands are 9.25” x 2.5” H, the tall cake stand is 9.25” x 5” H.

Very good antique condition. There are some small chips present to four plates, one plate displays a hairline crack. One of the smaller cake stand has chips to underside of rim. Detailed photographs posted.
